Rosberg set to 'clear the air' with Hamilton
17 April 2014 – Nico Rosberg has revealed that he plans to clear the air with Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton ahead of this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix, following their hard-fought battle for victory in Bahrain.
The pair respectfully switched positions on multiple occasions during the 57-lap Sakhir encounter, but one defensive move – on the exit of the first corner – prompted Rosberg to complain about Hamilton on the radio.
To ensure that all parties are content moving forward, further intra-team discussions have been scheduled.
"The only example which I thought was above the limits was when I came on the radio," Rosberg told media in the Shanghai paddock. "All the other examples were really tough racing but with the necessary respect.
"[It was] the rate at which he was pushing me out, because if the rate is too fast I will struggle to avoid an accident. If you're on the inside then you're the boss. It's your corner as long as you're in front."
Of the planned talks, Rosberg added: "It's completely normal that as a team, when there are situations or races where a lot has happened and there are intense battles, you are going to sit down and discuss them.
"We make sure everybody knows everybody's opinions, we review and then completely put it behind us."
