Sutil hoping to end Sauber points drought
18 May 2014 – Adrian Sutil says he is travelling to next weekend's Monaco Grand Prix with the aim of ending Sauber's longest points drought in several years.
Sauber has endured a challenging start to the 2014 season, with Sutil recording just two finishes out of the five events so far - 11th in Australia and 17th last weekend in Spain.
The German, who starred on his way to fifth in Monaco last year with Force India, is aiming for a top 10 result around the streets of the Principality.
"I really like the track," he said. "For us, the most important aspect will be that our car works well and we can achieve a good performance.
"My objective is to travel back home with some points in my pocket. Looking back, I have good memories from the races in Monte Carlo as I collected some points almost every year. Last year it was an exciting race for me which I finished in fifth position."
Team-mate Esteban Gutiérrez says that Sauber must ensure their C33 is stable if they are to compete in Monaco.
"As the track has many slow speed corners, we need to have a stable car," he said. "Our focus will be to get things sorted out and to make sure we are on target."
