Newey rules out switch to Ferrari
22 May 2014 – Adrian Newey has acted to end speculation of a Ferrari switch, reaffirming his commitment to Red Bull.
The renowned design chief is said to be a target of the famous Italian marque as it attempts to recover from a challenging period that has left it without a Constructors' title since 2008 and Drivers' triumph since 2007.
Having refused to comment one way or the other in Spain, some suggested that Newey was seriously weighing up a move to Maranello, but he has acted ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix to clarify his immediate future.
"I remain committed to Red Bull for the foreseeable future," said Newey in a short Red Bull statement.
Newey has been at Red Bull since early 2006, when he made the move from McLaren.
