Rosberg keeps pole following stewards investigation
24 May 2014 – Nico Rosberg will start Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix from pole position after the stewards took no further action on his mistake during the final moments of qualifying, which resulted in several rivals being unable to improve their lap time.
Rosberg ran wide at Mirabeau, which caused a yellow flag and most notable prevented Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton from being unable to set a quicker time.
The stewards 'examined video and telemetry data from the team and the FIA and could find no evidence of any offence related to the turn five incident.'
It is the second consecutive season in which Rosberg will head Hamilton on the front row of the grid in Monaco; last year Rosberg went on to win, with Hamilton finishing in fourth position.
