McLaren, Red Bull end Fallows row
9 June 2014 – McLaren and Red Bull have agreed to end their legal dispute over aerodynamicist Dan Fallows.
Back in April, Red Bull announced that former team employee Fallows had re-signed as its new Head of Aerodynamics, but McLaren questioned the move and made clear that it had a contract in place with him.
However, after a period of uncertainty, an agreement for the legal action to be dropped was reached in Montreal, following discussions between Red Bull team boss Christian Horner and McLaren Group CEO Ron Dennis.
It is being reported that as part of the deal, McLaren will secure the services of Red Bull aero chief Peter Prodromou early than planned, having captured his signature at the end of last year to start work in 2015.
"I have a handshake with Mr Dennis which, being a gentleman and a man of his word, means we have an understanding," said Horner, who refused to confirm if Prodromou will be permitted to leave early.
