Hamilton to attend Goodwood Festival of Speed
17 June 2014 – Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton will return to the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month and will drive a modern Formula 1 car up the famous hill.
Hamilton, who is a regular visitor to the popular West Sussex event, will climb the hill on Sunday June 29, the final day of the event.
The Briton is the sixth Formula 1 World Champion to confirm his presence at the event, with Emerson Fittipaldi, Sir Jackie Stewart and John Surtees joining Jenson Button and Goodwood debutant Kimi Räikkönen.
Hamilton is one of a number of Mercedes affiliated drivers who will line-up at the event as the current Formula 1 championship leaders celebrate their 100th anniversary in Grand Prix racing.
16-time Grand Prix victor Sir Stirling Moss and IndyCar legend Dario Franchitti will also be attending in association with Mercedes.
