Stevens gets Silverstone test chance with Caterham
17 June 2014 – Caterham tester and academy member Will Stevens will drive the team's 2014 contender, the CT05, at the upcoming Silverstone test, which takes place directly after the British Grand Prix from July 8-9.
Stevens, who sits fourth in the Formula Renault 3.5 standings with one victory and two further podium finishes to his name, made his Formula 1 test debut with the team during last year's in-season gathering at the venue.
The 22-year-old, penned in for the first test day, has also conducted extensive simulator work this season.
"It'll be great to be back in an F1 car for the first time since the 2013 Silverstone test and with the amount of time I've already spent in the virtual car in the simulator, I can't wait to see how it compares to the real thing," he said.
"I'm sure we'll have a busy run plan set for the day and my focus will be on doing the best job I can for the team."
