Schumacher's condition improving, says wife
11 July 2014 – Corinna Schumacher, the wife of Michael Schumacher, says the seven-time F1 champion is "getting better" after coming out of a coma and being moved to a rehabilitation clinic in Switzerland last month.
Schumacher, 45, spent 170 days at the University Hospital in Grenoble following the severe head injuries he sustained in a skiing accident at the resort of Meribel, situated in the French Alps, at the end of December.
Updates on Schumacher's condition came in the form of official statements from his long-time manager, Sabine Kehm, during that time, but Corinna spoke this week in her first public appearance since the accident.
"It's getting better, slowly certainly, but in any case it's improving," Corinna told German magazine Neue Post.
There have been no further updates on the medical documents, purported to be those of Schumacher, that the German's family confirmed were put up for sale for 60,000 Swiss francs (£39,000) almost three weeks ago.
