Magnussen wants problem-free weekend
23 July 2014 – McLaren driver Kevin Magnussen has said he is hoping for a weekend "where everything comes together" in Hungary.
Danish driver Magnussen has qualified strongly in recent races, having lined up in fourth place at last weekend's German Grand Prix.
However, contact at the start with Williams's Felipe Massa at the start of the race resulted in him spinning, and while he still scored, he was nevertheless disappointed with his eventual ninth place finish.
"I really like the Hungaroring," he said prior to round 11. "It isn't a fast circuit but, a bit like Monaco, it's a track on which a driver can really make a difference."
"I think we've shown recently that our car performs slightly better on tracks with a combination of low- and mid-speed corners, so I think this weekend will hopefully offer us another opportunity to score some useful world championship points," he added.
"After a couple of frustrating races, I'm hoping for a weekend where everything comes together."
