Alonso, Räikkönen to stay at Ferrari in 2015
24 August 2014 – Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen will remain at Ferrari for the 2015 Formula 1 campaign.
In an interview with Sky Sports ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, Team Principal Marco Mattiacci confirmed that the pair would be staying onboard, putting an end to speculation about their futures.
The rumours grew out of Ferrari's challenging start to the season, with its chassis and turbo power unit failing to live up to expectations. Räikkönen has found it more difficult to adapt to the F14 T than Alonso, leaving him 12th in the standings on 27 points, while the Spaniard holds fourth position after taking a pair of podium finishes.
There have also been structural changes this season. Aside from the aforementioned Mattiacci, who took on the team boss role after Stefano Domenicali resigned, Luca Marmorini left the team's engine division last month.
