Caterham: More updates on way for Monza
26 August 2014 – Caterham Team Principal Christijan Albers has confirmed that the outfit will have more updates for the Italian Grand Prix next month.
The Leafield squad had a number of new parts in Belgium last weekend, including a new nose for the CT05, and more tweaks are now planned for Monza.
"We have a very busy next two weeks ahead, as we carry on working to bring more updates to the next race in Italy," Albers stated.
"It has been a positive start, but now we need to build on this and make sure we get stronger every race.
"I have total confidence in the team and I know that they are going to give their very best to keep improving the car.
"We are moving in the right direction."
Asked about the race on Sunday, Albers added it was positive, even if only one car did make it to the chequered flag – and in last place of those still actually running.
"The team has done a solid job this weekend, we're moving forward. Marcus [Ericsson] drove a strong race and was able to fight for positions during all 44 laps.
"It is a real shame that André [Lotterer] was only able to race for one full lap before retiring [due to a loss of power] - his weekend up until then had been close to perfect.
"But he has certainly provided us with very useful feedback that will help to continue developing the car."
