Verstappen damages wing during Rotterdam run
31 August 2014 – Dutch youngster Max Verstappen has had a minor crash during his first public Formula 1 outing at the VKV City Racing event in Rotterdam.
Verstappen, 16, was demonstrating a Red Bull RB8 in Toro Rosso livery when he got stuck near a barrier while completing donuts. His car was recovered, but he struck a barrier on the opposite side of the demonstration area and removed the front wing from the car.
Verstappen is set to drive for Toro Rosso next season and could participate in some practice sessions later in the year. He sampled an RB8 during a private test at Rockingham last week.
