Lotus invites fans to Brands filming day
23 April 2015 – Lotus has invited fans to watch from the trackside at its Brands Hatch filming event on Monday.
Race drivers Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado and reserve Jolyon Palmer will all take turns to drive the E23 Hybrid at the Kent circuit, which hosted the British Grand Prix 12 times between 1964 and 1986.
The venue will be free of charge all day, with the Paddock Hill and Pit Straight grandstands open for viewing.
In addition to the E23's planned filming runs, the Grand Prix-winning Lotus 72 E-5 will also be driven as part of the day's activities, along with pit-stop demonstrations and hot laps in various Lotus road cars.
Modern Formula 1 machinery was last showcased at Brands Hatch in 2008, when Lewis Hamilton drove his title-winning McLaren-Mercedes MP4-23 in a demonstration run at that year's DTM event.
