Ferarri technical director Ross Brawn has told fans and to blame rival teams for Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello's dominance of the Australian Grand Prix this weekend.

"As a team we've got to do the best job we can and that's what we do," Brawn said. "There's nothing we can do really to help McLaren and Williams be more competitive - it's really up to the others to catch up and make it more competitive at the front."

Ferrari are being cautious about predictions for the future accepting that the cooler conditions on race day played into tyre supplier Bridgestone's hands. The next race in Malaysia, however, traditionally brings very hot conditions which should traditionally suit Michelin tyres.

"I think Malaysia will certainly be different and I don't think we'll see us doing this in every race this year," Brawn said. "On Sunday the temperature was perfect for our tyres but we'll see in Malaysia which I think will be quite a different story."

Brawn reflected on the race and how Ferrari had managed to produce yet another leading car.

"I really felt that the difficult season we had last year would make us stronger now, and it still amazes me how good a job our guys do," he said. Brawn revealed that he asked both of his drivers to slow towards the end of the race in order not to compromise any reliability.

"At the end I just asked them to cut their revs back and take it easy because we saw Massa pull over and he uses the same engine as us, so we wanted to be sure," Brawn concluded.
