Will Bratt is the third driver to be confirmed as a 2011 Formula 2 driver on Monday. After finishing in the top five of the championship last year, the 22-year-old from Banbury is returning for a second season, which begins at Silverstone this weekend.
“I really am very happy to return to F2 this year,” he said, having finished on the podium four times in 2010. “It's a fantastic championship with an incredible prize and we visit some of the very best circuits in the world.
“My sole aim is to win the title this year; that's my expectation and I intend to deliver. The deal is very late in the day, so we did miss the Silverstone test in March, but that shouldn't be a problem - I'm confident we'll be strong.”
“I'm delighted Will is returning to F2,” added Series Director and former F2 Champion Jonathan Palmer. “He is an extremely talented driver who could make a good job of an F1 drive. It is clear F2 is going to be very competitive in 2011 and Will is certain to be one of the favourites for the title.”
