Bianchi takes Masters of F3 pole position

Bianchi takes Masters of F3 pole position

13 June 2009

ART Grand Prix driver Jules Bianchi will start Sunday's Tango Masters of Formula 3 from pole position. The Frenchman will be joined by his team-mate Valtteri Bottas on the front row. Britons Alexander Sims and Sam Bird will start in 8th and 12th respectively.

The fans at Zandvoort will see last year's Masters of F3 winner Jules Bianchi start the race from pole position on Sunday. The Frenchman even believed he could have done slightly better at the Dutch track. "My best lap wasn't even really fast, but it is good to be on pole position for me and the team," Bianchi said. "I hope to enjoy a good start tomorrow and create a gap. We'll see what happens..."

Bianchi will be joined at the front row by his team-mate Valtteri Bottas. Bottas is in his F3 debut season at the moment after winning the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup in 2008 - a talent to keep your eyes on. Bottas will try and make it a difficult race for his team-mate. "Of course I will try to win but make it a fair races with Jules (Bianchi). We will both try to win so it will be an exciting race tomorrow I'm sure."
