Rosenzweig excited at Spa

23 July 2009

Jake Rosenzweig was a happy man after the first free practice session at Spa-Francorchamps; despite finishing just under eight tenths of a second slower than fastest man Adriano Buzaid, the British F3 debutant wound up in an impressive second position.

With the rain falling at Spa, a best result of 2.40.801 placed the American comfortably ahead of the two ART Grand Prix cars, also making a 2009 BF3 debut in Belgium. "I'm really excited to be racing at Spa this weekend," said the Carlin Motorsport F3 Euro Series driver. "It's always good to get as much race experience as possible and it will be a new challenge to compete in a new championship on different tyres.

"It was a good confidence boost to finish on the podium at the last Euro Series round at Zandvoort, so I'm hoping to make the most of this opportunity in the British series this weekend."
