CF Racing joins forces with Manor

23 March 2010

The successful CF Racing and Manor Motorsport squads have teamed up ahead of the 2010 season. The newly-formed outfit will race with Mercedes-powered, Dallara-built cars over the course of the upcoming campaign for Wales' Hywel Lloyd and Indonesia's Rio Haryanto.

Despite also racing in GP3 this season, Formula BMW Pacific Champion Haryanto will fit his BF3 schedule around his other commitments and Harry Lloyd is convinced that the change in team structure will result in a stronger overall assault.

"CF Racing and Manor have had a good working relationship for a long time," began the founder of the former, "so when Manor decided to end its involvement with the F3 Euroseries it made sense for us to amalgamate - pool our resources, personnel and know-how - because we both have much to gain from it."

Harry's optimism has also been raised since 25-year-old son Hywel set the eighth quickest time in Oulton Park testing. "He's well up for it this year," Harry added.
