Carlin in favour of mandatory pit-stops
This weekend will see pit stops being introduced in British Formula 3 as the teams travel to Rockingham. Carlin driver Jean-Eric Vergne is currently leading the championship. His team boss, Trevor Carlin, has said the introduction of pit-stops is positive for the BF3 drivers' experience.
Speaking about the introduction of pit-stops, Carlin said: “Pit stops will be an important part of a drivers’ future career, so it makes sense to give drivers some experience of this in Formula 3. I think its going to add a really interesting element to the race and will challenge the teams to adopt the best strategy for their drivers.”
