Nasr leads final Rockingham test

Nasr leads final Rockingham test

16 July 2010

Räikkönen Robert Racing led the way as Brazil’s Felipe Nasr topped the timesheets in Rockingham’s test session on Friday, confirming that the team is the quickest ahead of this weekend’s three rounds at the same track.

With Nasr on P1, Jazeman Jaafar’s Carlin was just 36 thousandths of a second slower although both drivers, hindered by strong gusts of wind, were some two seconds off the testing pace seen at the venue back in March.

In the National Class, T-Sport’s Menasheh Idafar was once again the man to beat as he edged out team-mate James Cole.

“I have had a good break from racing since the last meeting and the team has also had a break, a chance to look at what we needed to do,” commented fastest man Nasr. “We’ve made some changes and, so far, they seem to be working.”

Rockingham’s Saturday qualifying session begins at 10:30am local time (BST)
