Adriano Buzaid dominated the third and final race of the Cooper Tires British F3 Championship at Snetterton this afternoon, making the most of the dry conditions to lead from lights-to-flag and head home a Carlin 1-2-3, 7.5 seconds up on his closest challenger.
Buzaid, who started from pole, was never headed throughout the 38 laps, and while his team-mate and newly crowned British F3 Champion, Jean-Eric Vergne stayed with him early on, the Brazilian managed to gradually pull away and in the final ten or so laps had a more than comfortable 4-second cushion.
James Calado meanwhile came home third to give Carlin a clean sweep of the rostrum and while he put a bit of pressure on Vergne near the end, and finished just four tenths back, he couldn’t get passed.
Daisuke Nakajima was next up for Raikkonen Robertson Racing, albeit 6 seconds further back, followed by his team-mates, Felipe Nasr and Carlos Huertas in fifth and seventh, making Carlin man, Jazeman Jaafar very much the meat in the RRR sandwich.
Of the rest Race 2 winner, Gabriel Dias was eighth, while fellow Hitech Racing man William Buller and Rupert Svendsen-Cook rounded out the top ten.
In the National class, Menasheh Idafar claimed the honours again for T-Sport, finishing 14th overall and three places ahead of his closest class rival and team-mate, James Cole in 17th.
