Alexander Sims set the top time this morning as the Formula 3 Euro Series kicked off its penultimate race of the 2010 season at Oschersleben, heading an ART Grand Prix one-two, two tenths up on his team-mate, Valtteri Bottas.
Signature-Plus’ Laurens Vanthoor came in third followed by Motopark Academy man Antonio Felix da Costa and then the other two Signature-Plus cars driven by Marco Wittmann and Edoardo Mortara, the latter looking to clinch the drivers' title this weekend. He goes into the event with a 24 point lead over Wittmann.
Behind Mücke Motorsport duo Roberto Merhi and Carlos Munoz were seventh and eighth on the timesheets ahead of Renger van der Zande and Matias Laine.
Daniel Juncadella, Jim Pla, Tobias Hegewald and Nicolas Marroc held positions 11 through to 14.
