Nasr stays fastest as Rockingham test ends
22 September 2010 – Brazilian Felipe Nasr, having registered the fastest time in British Formula 3 testing at Rockingham on Tuesday, has maintained his leading pace by topping Wednesday’s session as well. On the combined classification from both days, title winner Jean-Eric Vergne and Daisuke Nakajima stay second and third.
With Northamptonshire’s Rockingham hosting a two-day test session prior to the season finale at Brands Hatch this weekend, Nasr’s eventual best lap time of 1:12.242 places him atop the listings, with Nakajima confirming both Räikkönen Robertson cars in the top three.
Behind, Carlos Huertas and Gabriel Dias round out the first five as James Calado leads the way for British honours in sixth, just ahead of fellow countrymen William Buller and Daniel McKenzie.
In the National Class, which is still set to be concluded at Brands, James Cole has moved ahead of T-Sport team-mate Menasheh Idafar since Tuesday, thanks to a leading effort of 1:13.749 which is just 36 thousandths of a second quicker.
Brands Hatch’s final qualifying session of the season will begin at 10:35am local time (BST) on Saturday
