Brazilian driver Pietro Fantin will be competing for Hitech Racing in the 2011 British Formula 3 Championship, following an announcement that the 19-year-old from Curitiba is set to partake in a full season with the Buckingham-based squad.
Fantin made guest appearances in the series with Hi-Tech last year, but has been given a full-time drive for the upcoming campaign after impressing the outfit during his three outings at Rockingham, Silverstone, and Brands Hatch.
"I am very excited to move to the UK and compete in the British Formula 3 Championship," Fantin stated. "It is a route that many Brazilian drivers have chosen and there have been some great names in the championship over the years.
"Hopefully, I too can do well, it really is the best place to learn and develop as a driver. I am aware that I have one of the best seats on the grid and I cannot wait to start driving. I know how much the team has worked on the car from set-up to aero and now I want to add to what they have been doing in the workshop, out on the track."
Team Principal Ryan Sharp added: "We are delighted to have Pietro back in the car in 2011 especially after his stunning debut last season.
