Hylkema eager to challenge National Class

29 April 2011

Bart Hylkema has revealed that his main target for 2011 is to move towards the pace of the National Class British F3 drivers, with the Dutchman currently one of only two Rookie Class competitors in the 20-strong field. The T-Sport driver has been unbeatable in his category so far this year, leaving him well ahead of Japan's Kotaro Sakurai in the championship standings.

"Obviously now we are trying to pick up more pace to fight with the (National) A class cars, so that’s the next aim," Hylkema explained to GPUpdate.net. "The priority is to win the Rookie Class, and just try to pick up speed."

When asked about spending another term in the series, Hylkema replied: "I think that will be one of the best options yes, to stay at least one more year in British F3, in the A class. This year is all about learning."
