Nasr tops Brands Hatch practice day
17 June 2011 – Carlin’s Felipe Nasr was the fastest man as British F3 practice came to an end at Brands Hatch on Friday, leading the way ahead of fellow South American Carlos Huertas. The remaining four Carlin drivers followed closely, with British driver Jack Harvey narrowly outpacing his team-mates to complete the top three runners.
A dry morning session allowed for plenty of running at the venue, but rainfall in the afternoon prevented any time improvements from being made. Behind the quickest three men, Jazeman Jaafar outpaced Kevin Magnussen to claim fourth, while Rupert Svendsen-Cook ensured that Carlin occupied the top six positions.
Will Buller was the leading Mercedes-powered runner in seventh place, just ahead of Hitech’s Pietro Fantin who is racing alongside Russian F2 pilot Max Snegirev this weekend. Australia’s Scott Pye grabbed ninth behind the wheel of his Double R Racing machine, one tenth ahead of Adderly Fong who rounded out the top ten.
