Prema’s Daniel Juncadella has been handed a three-place grid penalty after crossing the pit exit line during second practice for the Macau Grand Prix.
It was a dramatic session for the Spaniard, whose ended proceedings early for everybody by crashing and sustaining heavy damage which brought out the red flags.
Ironically, as Juncadella’s penalty was applied, team-mate Roberto Merhi lost his after stewards reviewed footage and decided that a three-place drop was not worthy following a moment on Monday; the F3 Euro Series Champion does retain a seven-place fall, however, for crashing into Felix Rosenqvist’s stranded car.
