Makino to make F3 return at Zandvoort
17 August 2017 – Honda-affiliated Tadasuke Makino will return to the European Formula 3 grid at this weekend's Zandvoort round, after recovering from a broken wrist.
Hitech GP driver Makino sustained the injury in a collision with Van Amersfoort Racing rival Harrison Newey during the fifth round of the season at the Norisring early last month.
Hitech expected Makino to be on the sidelines "for eight to 10 weeks", and he duly missed the championship's Spa-Francorchamps event, with his participation at Zandvoort also in doubt.
However, he has now been cleared to make a comeback, and will rejoin Ralf Aron, Jake Hughes and Nikita Mazepin to give Hitech its full, four-strong line-up.
