Borja Garcia will make his return to the GP2 series in 2007 with Durango. The Spaniard, who achieved podiums in 2005 with Racing Engineering, marks his return to the F1 feeder category after taking a year out to race in the World Series, where he excelled.
Durango team Chief Ivone Pinton was delighted to have signed a driver of Borja's experience and class.
"I'm very happy with the choice of Borja Garcia as he represents one of the emerging talents in Spanish motorsport," he confirmed. "I was impressed by his talent during the tests in Valencia on 1st December where he obtained excellent results. I believe Borja is capable of finishing among the top positions next season and Durango will do everything possible to help him do so. We're very optimistic about the 2007 season and are looking forward to obtaining great results with Borja."
