Ho-Pin Tung today announced that it came to an agreement with GP2 team BCN Competicion. Tung was the first Chinese driver to try a Formula One car. In December 2003 he completed 41 laps with a Williams F1 car.
Ho-Pin Tung said about his new career move: "I am really happy and motivated. It's a great opportunity for me. I am very thankful to my sponsors who made it possible to join the GP2 series. Together with my team I will work very hard to achieve the maximum this season."
Tung is currently racing in the A1GP championship. His A1 Team China is fifth in the championship with two races to go.
