At a press conference in Vienna Adreas Zuber announced he will race his third season in GP2 for the Minardi Piquet Sports team. Zuber, born in Austria, finished ninth in the overall standings in 2007 as he raced for iSport.
"I had several opportunities thanks to the successful GP2 tests in November. After a lot of consideration I decided in favour of Minardi Piquet Sports since this team had been vice-champion in this series in 2006 with Nelson Piquet. It is a highly professional team which can help me to reach my goals", explains Andreas Zuber. "I am completely confident that this team will provide me with a correspondingly fast car. Thus it should be possible to further improve my balance in the GP2 series. So far I celebrated one respective victory in the years 2006 in Istanbul and 2007 in Silverstone."
