With the second Asia Series season having been cut to eight races, Switzerland's Leimer and the United States' Rossi will be driving in the two first, with confirmation from the team still needed regarding the remainder of the season. Rossi, Formula BMW Americas Champion of 2008, will be looking to impress on his first GP2 outing, as will his team-mate who joins as Formula Master Champion.

"We liked Fabio Leimer's competitiveness and we decided to give him another experience, this time in a race," explained Ocean team boss Tiago Monteiro. "Fabio is a young talent who proved his value by clinching the Formula Master title, a series where Alexander Rossi, only 18 years old, also secured excellent results as he ended up 4th in his first year in the championship whilst adapting himself to Europe at the same time.

"He will take the wheel of a BMW Formula One single seater in December and he sees this opportunity to race in the GP2 Series as a crucial step to get to grips with such powerful cars like those of GP2 and F1."
