Renault F1 colours to be seen in GP2

1 February 2010

With a brand-new colour scheme for the Renault Formula 1 team this year, the bright yellow and black livery will also be seen in feeder series GP2 over the course of the season as test drivers Jérôme D'Ambrosio and Ho-Pin Tung pilot the DAMS cars.

With the Belgian and Chinese drivers confirmed as Renault testers on Sunday as well as the Czech Republic's Jan Charouz, D'Ambrosio and Tung will also represent the team as racers this season as GP2 follows F1 on all European weekends.

"I have three goals in mind," d'Ambrosio commented. "The first is to win the GP2 title because, after two seasons, I feel ready to achieve that. The second is to maximise the opportunity Renault has given to me to learn, observe and develop.

"My final objective will be to demonstrate my ability so that I can take another step forward in 2011 and hopefully take my place on the grid."

"It's really a dream come true for me but it's also the start of a new adventure," Tung said. "In many ways everything starts from now. My objective is unchanged, I want to race and I want to win - for China, for my fans, for the team, for my partners and for myself. Formula 1 is what I really want."
