Ocean Racing Technology announced that it will reunite with Dutchman Yelmer Buurman for this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix in the GP2 Asia series. Buurman will race alongside team-mate Fabio Leimer as a replacement for Max Chilton who joined forces with Barwa Addax for the final two races of the season.
"Two days ago I received a call from Tiago and he asked me if I would be ready to race in Bahrain," Buurman said. "I was really excited. GP2 is the feeder series for F1 but it is very difficult to find budgets for a race season with a top team. It was a last minute call, I had a quick night and I will arrive in Bahrain late, so we will still have to do the seat fitting but I'm delighted. I know the GP2 Series and I know Ocean Racing Technology is a very good team.
"Even though I have not driven this car for a year or so I hope to be at the front of the field, especially in the second race weekend when GP2 races together with the season opening F1 race.
