ART Grand Prix GP2 driver Jules Bianchi has said he hopes to be back as early as the Belgian Grand Prix following his heavy crash at the Hungaroring just over a week ago. The Frenchman fractured his second lumbar vertebra due to his crash with DAMS driver Ho-Pin Tung.
“I underwent surgery and hope to be back in the car very soon,” Bianchi told French radiostation RMC. “I will do everything within my power to return at Spa-Francorchamps. If I'm ready I will be racing at Spa, but if not I will certainly be back at Monza. I guess it would be better for my own health to return at Monza but we'll see, if I'm 100% I will return at Spa.”
