A number of emotional ties link the Ocean Racing Technology team to Spa-Francorchamps, with the Tiago Monteiro-owned outfit having clinched its first GP2 pole position and race win courtesy of Álvaro Parente last year (top).
With the Portuguese driver making his own return to the series with Scuderia Coloni this weekend, current Ocean drivers Fabio Leimer and Max Chilton have great recollections of their own from the track set deep within the Ardennes forest.
“It’s a fantastic circuit and I hope everything will go smoothly for us,” said the Swiss, who took pole and the win on his way to the 2009 International Formula Masters title. “We have not been lucky in the last races and it's time for the wheel to turn.”
“It's my favourite track,” added Englishman Chilton, who started on the Spa front row in British Formula 3 last year. “I hope everything will be fine and that we will have a good qualifying plus two strong races.
“I know we have what it takes to aim for positions amongst the leaders and that's what I want to demonstrate until the end of the season.”
