ART and Group Lotus announce technical partnership

ART and Group Lotus announce technical partnership

22 September 2010

ART Grand Prix, the front-running outfit in both GP2 and GP3, has announced a technical link-up with Group Lotus ahead of the 2011 season. The partnership will involve the English car company providing technical and engineering support for the French outfit’s programmes in both of the Formula 1 feeder series.

The connection with ART is with Group Lotus as opposed to the Lotus Racing Formula 1 team which, incidentally, is soon set to switch to the ‘Team Lotus’ name whose rights are not owned by the Lotus car company.

“It is a fantastic opportunity for ART Grand Prix to be working with Lotus,” comments Frédéric Vasseur, Team Manager of ART Grand Prix.

“The goal is clear: winning future GP2 and GP3 championships together. I can’t wait to see the new livery of our racing cars.”

“The move into GP2 and GP3 solidifies Lotus Motorsport’s commitment to promoting driver development and supporting the search for the world champions of the future,” adds Lotus Motorsport Director of Operations Miodrag Kotur.

“Lotus won’t simply be partner in name only; ART Grand Prix will also benefit from Lotus’ considerable engineering and technical support and experience.”
