Davide Rigon has confirmed that he will be competing for Scuderia Coloni in the upcoming GP2 season, with the 24-year-old moving back to the series after claiming the Superleague Formula title in 2010. The Italian took part in the pre-season tests at Silverstone and Barcelona, impressing the squad enough to seal a full-time drive.
"I am very happy to be back in GP2 and do so with an experienced team like Coloni who take part in all the editions of the championship," Rigon explained ahead of next weekend’s season-opening event in Turkey.
"This is a team with a glorious past and important technical skills. Since the first two days of testing at Silverstone we have trussed a great feeling and I am glad that they believe in me. In Barcelona we showed that we work well together and we start with the awareness that we can achieve strong results."
