Hartley returns to GP2 with Ocean

25 August 2011

Brendon Hartley will be making a GP2 return as racing resumes at Spa this weekend. The Kiwi – former F1 reserve driver for Red Bull and Toro Rosso - joins Ocean Racing Technology alongside Johnny Cecotto Jr, therefore replacing Kevin Mirocha.

“I am very enthusiastic and happy about the chance I have been given,” says Hartley, who is currently placed seventh in the Formula Renault 3.5 standings.

“Last year I took part in two meetings of the championship but I think that the main difference is in the tyres.

“The team is very professional and I know I can count on the engineers to help me best handle this adaptation. I know the Spa track well and my objective is to be competitive there.”
