The Racing Engineering GP2 team has announced that British Formula 3 driver Rupert Svendsen-Cook will be testing with the outfit at next weekend’s session in Jerez. The Spanish squad will also be joined by familiar GP2 faces Fabio Leimer of Switzerland and Rodolfo González of Venezuela.
The two-day test will be staged in the south of Spain across Wednesday and Thursday, with Leimer driving on both Wednesday and Thursday – having raced for 2010 Champions Rapax this year – with González and Svendsen-Cook sharing duties for Days 1 and 2.
Hailing from Ipswich, Svendsen-Cook celebrated his 20th birthday last Saturday; driving for Carlin, he sits sixth in the current British F3 championship standings.
