The Ocean Racing Technology GP2 team has confirmed that James Calado, who raced in GP3 this year, will be testing in Jerez this week. The Tiago Monteiro-run team will be running a total of four drivers, with António Félix da Costa, Stephane Richelmi and Yuki Shiraishi also driving in Spain across Wednesday and Thursday.
“I am eager to drive the GP2 car for the first time,” Calado commented. “I will be on the track for two days and so I will have the time I need to adapt to the power and braking.
“My objective is to be fast throughout the tests, but my priority is to learn the car and figure out its behaviour. It's definitely a very different car from the GP3 car.”
