Dani Clos, reserve driver for the HRT Formula 1 team, has joined Addax in GP2 for this weekend. It is yet to be confirmed whether the Spaniard will be remaining with the squad for both Bahrain weekends, or indeed for the remainder of the 2012 season.
Racing alongside Venezuela’s Johnny Cecotto Jr, Clos moves into Addax to replace the Czech Josef Kral. This marks a GP2 return for the Barcelona driver, who was last in the series to finish ninth overall with Racing Engineering last year.
Following the Bahrain F1 weekend, GP2 stays in the country for consecutive race meetings, meaning four races will be staged within the space of nine days.
