Conor Daly and Pål Varhaug have completed the GP2 line-up for this weekend's opening round in Malaysia, with both men joining newcomers Hilmer Motorsport.

Daly makes the step up to GP2 after a season in feeder category GP3, having claimed one victory and four further podium finishes en route to sixth in the overall standings. The 21-year-old American, who has not confirmed his full-time plans for 2013, tested for Hilmer during the final pre-season gathering at the Circuit de Catalunya.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old Varhaug returns to the series after a one-year switch to AutoGP, where he finished runner-up to now MP Motorsport driver Adrian Quaife-Hobbs. The Norwegian was Romain Grosjean's team-mate at DAMS during the latter's title-winning season of 2011 and tested for Hilmer in Barcelona this month.
