Frijns secures Hilmer seat for Belgium
22 August 2013 – Robin Frijns will return to GP2 at Spa-Francorchamps this weekend, with the Hilmer Motorsport squad opting to re-sign the reigning Formula Renault 3.5 Champion.
The Dutchman was dropped by the outfit in favour of Adrian Quaife-Hobbs for the latest Hungaroring round, although the latter was unable to finish higher than 18th.
"They put Quaife-Hobbs in the car, but they were not very happy." Frijns explained to GPUpdate.net on Wednesday. "They missed me and wanted me to drive again."
Despite Frijns' comments, the 22-year-old will replace Jon Lancaster at the outfit.
