Dillmann penalised, loses final point
25 August 2013 – Tom Dillmann has lost the point he picked up during Sunday's Sprint Race in Belgium after stewards deemed he exceeded track limits in his late battle with Felipe Nasr.
The Russian Time driver, who lost a handful of positions in the closing stages of the race, went side-by-side with Carlin rival Nasr under braking for the final Bus Stop chicane, running wide and cutting the corner to secure the final point on offer.
Having reviewed the available video footage, the stewards opted to add one second to Dillmann's race time, handing eighth position and one point to Nasr. The Brazilian thus closes to within five points of current championship leader Stefano Coletti.
