Rossi on pole as Ericsson demoted
1 November 2013 – Marcus Ericsson has lost pole position for the GP2 Feature Race in Abu Dhabi after stewards deemed that he exceeded the track limits on his best qualifying attempt.
The decision to penalise the DAMS driver, who drops back to 12th, gives Rossi the coveted position, with title contender Sam Bird moving on to the front row of the grid.
Championship leader Fabio Leimer, who holds a seven-point lead over Russian Time's Bird, now starts from fourth, sharing the second row with Jolyon Palmer.
Tom Dillmann and Johnny Cecotto, Jr. are promoted to the final top six positions.
