Arden signs Binder for 2014 season
19 December 2013 – Arden International has announced the signing of René Binder for the 2014 GP2 campaign.
The 21-year-old Austrian, son of ex-Formula 1 driver Hans, contested his first full season in the feeder category with Team Lazarus this year, claiming a total of three points finishes in the process.
His move comes after driving for Arden in the post-season test at Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit.
"First of all I want to thank [Team Principal] Garry Horner and [Technical Director] Julian Rouse for their belief in my abilities," said Binder.
"We had a very good winter test in Abu Dhabi and I am pretty confident that Arden will give me their best support to make a big step forward in 2014.
"As for my training programme over the winter I will make sure that I will be physically and mentally well prepared. It’s going to be an interesting year and of course we also look forward to our home race in Spielberg."
