British racer Quaife-Hobbs joins Rapax
5 March 2014 – British driver Adrian Quaife-Hobbs has joined Rapax for the upcoming GP2 season.
Quaife-Hobbs raced for MP Motorsport and Hilmer Motorsport in his rookie season last year and claimed a victory at Monza on his way to 13th in the championship.
He will partner Simon Trummer at the team.
"I am delighted to be joining Rapax for my 2014 season in GP2," said Quaife-Hobbs.
"After a successful rookie year in the 2013 GP2 season I am looking forward to returning this season to fight for the championship. Together with Rapax I feel we can have a winning season. I am looking forward to getting in the car in Abu Dhabi for pre-season testing and working alongside a great team."
"I am very happy and proud to have Adrian in our team," added Rapax CEO Andrea Bergamini.
"He is one of the most impressive young drivers of the last season and he will be forming an high-quality couple with Simon."
Quaife-Hobbs will join up with Rapax for the first time at next week's pre-season test in Abu Dhabi.
The GP2 season begins in Bahrain next month.
