Nasr sticks with Carlin for title assault
7 March 2014 – Felipe Nasr will remain with Carlin as he attempts to put together a GP2 title assault in 2014.
The 21-year-old Brazilian, who was recently announced as the Williams Formula 1 team's test and reserve driver, finished fourth in last season's GP2 standings, having switched to Carlin after his debut campaign with DAMS.
"I'm really happy to be with Carlin this year," said Nasr, who claimed the British Formula 3 title back in 2011.
"We had a tough fight on our hands last year and although we missed out on the title through some bad luck and some difficult races, the season was very positive. We work very well together; it's a very easy relationship.
"This year I want to go one better and push hard to win the championship; with a strong team like Carlin, and the new rules regarding the tyres [forcing Soft and Hard to be used in Feature Races] I think we can do this."
Nasr will partner Colombia's Julián Leal at Carlin, with only four more seats remaining on the 2014 grid.
