6 July 2014 – Carlin driver Felipe Nasr claimed a comfortable victory in Sunday's GP2 Sprint Race at Silverstone.
Pole-sitter Stéphane Richelmi gave the lead away to fellow front row starter Nasr moments after the lights went out, the DAMS driver falling a further three positions by the end of the opening lap due to a misjudged getaway.
Racing Engineering's Stefano Coletti jumped to second thanks to lightning reactions and, despite reporting a loss of power over the radio in the closing stages of the race, kept Johnny Cecotto Jr. at bay for the runner-up spot.
Leal ultimately finished sixth, falling another spot when team-mate Jolyon Palmer found a way past at The Loop.
Russian Time driver Mitch Evans, who took his maiden series victory in Saturday's Feature Race, wound up seventh, while MP Motorsport's Marco Sørensen completed the points-paying positions in eighth.
After the Silverstone round, Palmer still heads the standings on 143 points, 38 ahead of Nasr.
The next round of the GP2 season takes place at Hockenheim on the weekend of July 19-20
